A transitional home for wounded veterans who suffer from Post Traumatic Stress had limited space because of a technical glitch in the railing that surrounded the home.
The railing was six inches too short which caused a portion of the home to be unusable so the veterans were living in cramped quarters as they tried to rebuild their lives.
That’s when Marrokal Design & Remodeling got involved. President Gary Marrokal saw the initial news story on News 8 explaining how costly this railing fix would be for the non-profit organization, Wounded Warrior Homes.
The Marrokal team researched the issue and came up with the solution that has now allowed the entire 2,500 square foot home to be used by the veterans.
Marrokal is proud that his team could play a critical role in helping veterans who’ve served the country.
Wounded Warrior Homes says the cost to fix the railing without Marrokal Design & Remodeling would’ve been about $10,000.
